Hey, i'm looking for a tanker, but not really sure what size to get. i'm 170 lbs, where a 28 boot. i'm thinking of something on the longer side, not sure if maybe a 200 would be too big to start on.
Cail, I am a little bigger than you with same size boot and I ride the 200's for everything. It rides like a much smaller board and the extra length makes floating in powder or railing turns on groomers so much fun. It is really going to come down to your preference...I have been riding the 200's since 1999 and even a 172 feels too short for my liking now. Most people that get a 192 wish they would have gotten a 200 after they get used to it (except the older white model as many carvers/plate binding riders like it because it was the narrowest tanker). Good luck and hope you find the board that suits you best. cheers, ---------- Speed is your friend!!
Contrary to popular belief, size matters...go big...ride a Tanker!!
