Rad-Air is coming stateside to host the first EVER Tankers-N-Tahoe event.
This is an impromptu meeting of Tanker riders from throughout the world.
Everyone has been invited from Harry Gunz, Co-Founder of Rad-Air Snowboards,
to show up in Tahoe at the end of April for a Longboard Session. He is
arriving to the states on the 21st and will be on the slopes of Tahoe from
the 23rd to the 26th. The actual Tankers-N-Tahoe event will be Saturday and
Sunday the 25th and 26th at Kirkwood (you voted for it, you got it),
but you can check the website www.exoticboards.com/tankersntahoe.html to see
where everyone will be meeting up and when. There is very little time to get
things ready, so move quickly. Riders from all over the world are coming to
meet up in picturesque Tahoe, they are coming from: Japan, Switzerland, Canada, and those are just the initial reports we’ve gotten from the rumors
that were started in March. It is shaping up to be an event you have to
join.

There’s MORE!!!
In an amazing turn of events, Harry will be navigating new waters and
turning the RAD-Air Tankers in a completely RADICAL direction. As we
celebrate together the end of the 2008/2009 season, we can look forward to
the 10th Anniversary of the 200cm Tanker for next season. Harry has designed
a limited edition 200cm Tanker with a metal topsheet, only 100 were made and they are almost sold out! In fact, the whole line of Tankers have been redesigned from the ptex to the topsheet, the nose to the tail, and Rad-Air is launching the first Converse Camber Tankers starting this coming season, 2009/2010!!! You can wait until next year to ride one, but why? Rad-Air is almost completely sold out of the limited edition Tanker 200s already. Better get there and demo a new Tanker to see what all the fuss is about!
I would say it’s a risky proposition to bet the famous Tanker lineup with a
completely new design which goes all the way back the very roots of our
sport, but that is why Harry continues to be able to make snowboards after
23 years in the industry; he’s constantly innovating!!!!!
There are a lot of events that you can pass on, but not this one. Do
whatever you have to do to make it to this event. Walk, Drive, Fly, Run, just get to Tahoe at the end of April. The memories we make will last a lifetime.

It's 6:39am we're about to head down to Ernie's for some phenomenal breakfast should be there around 7:30.
Then its on to Squaw for the day.
It's snowing right now and it looks to be about 4 inches here at the base of Kirkwood. We're super excited about our first day of POW for Tankers-N-Tahoe!!

EPIC Day in Tahoe today!
As we headed into Ernie's this morning we had 4 inches of snow and on our way to Squaw we could tell there would be a lot more on its way. As we neared the top of Squaw there were near white out conditions and the powder was piling up fast.
Once we made our way up the gondola, it was obvious that we had chosen the perfect week for the Tankers-
N-Tahoe event.
We spent the next 3 hours pinching each other to make sure we weren't dreaming.
Right about noon the snow let down and the sun came out changing the pow to mashed potatoes. The rockered Tankers were still eating up the terrain. After a great lunch we took the long way down the mountain to close out the day at 3pm as the last guys on the mountain.

Last day for Tankers-N-Tahoe, and it couldn't be nicer out. Bluebird skies and nicely groomed slopes await! We were greated by the Reno Crew yesterday and had good times hanging out on the deck and talking boards.
Yesterday we introduced a few more to the Tanker Team and the Rockered Tankers have had a great response. This is not your old snowboard, but an entirely different beast! Today we plan to spend most of our time just giving boarders the opportunity to ride the newest thing on the market. Some other companies are making converse camber boards, but no one is doing it like the rockered technology in the Rad-Air boards. These babies are fully-rockered! Not just between the bindings or forward or backward rocker, you get a board that is fully rockered for a sweet surfy feel all the way down the mountain!
